Connect TorBox
TorBox connects through a standard device-flow OAuth, the same pattern Smart TVs use to sign into streaming services.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”- An active TorBox account.
- A phone or laptop browser to confirm the device code.
Pair your account
Section titled “Pair your account”-
On the TV, open Cinaura → Settings → Sources → Add source → TorBox. The TV displays a QR code linking to
cinaura.tv/pair/torbox. -
Scan the QR code with your phone. The pairing page shows a device code (this is different from the session code on the TV) along with a Copy button. Tap Copy, then tap Continue to open TorBox’s device-authorization page in your browser.
-
Paste the device code into TorBox and sign in if you aren’t already.
-
Name the device. TorBox asks you to give the connection a name (e.g. “Living Room TV”). This is optional but makes the device easy to spot later in your TorBox account, and to revoke if you ever need to.
-
Approve the connection. Once approved, the TV picks up the token within a few seconds and the source unlocks.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- “Authorization pending” stays on screen: you haven’t approved the device on TorBox yet. Finish the flow on your phone, then wait ~5s.
- “Slow down”: the TV is polling too frequently. Cinaura handles this automatically; just wait until the next poll.
- “Access denied”: you cancelled the flow on TorBox. Restart from the TV.
